First, you’ll set up with our workout mats, arm weights (2-5lbs), ankle weights (optional). Next, we begin our warm up sequence that flows with the chosen playlist. After that, it’s dance time! The dance sequence is easy to learn so don’t worry. After that comes an arm sequence followed by the lower body series. We end with a targeted core workout and then a cooldown. Good job!

How often you should do the Montana Method depends on your goals as well as fitness levels. Generally, 2 times a week is a great starting point for beginners and then from there you can experiment with coming to our studio or our Digital Studio 3-5 times a week. Consistency is the most important thing, whether that’s once a week or five times a week. Our variety of available workouts will make sure you’ll continue to get results.

The Montana Method sculpts your body through targeted but fluid movements, and sequences using light weights and repetition. The compound movements reduce the risk of burnout and injury. The music and the flow together engage your body and your mind. You’ll sweat, but you will feel great.

The Montana Method provides towels, arm and ankle weights, mats, and all the props you’ll need. Livestream and Video on Demand: You’ll need a lightly cushioned mat and light arm and ankle weights if desired. For Mashup: you’ll need the same but have a sturdy chair and light pole or broomstick at the ready!

Supportive sneakers are suggested for most classes; Pilates classes are taken without shoes. Wear form-fitting clothing that lets you move, stretch, and sweat!

Classes are 50 minutes. The Digital Studio offers a variety of shorter classes as well. We keep it moving, but feel free to take a break or a sip of water! Class begins with a warm-up and ends with a stretch. It’s loud, sweaty, and fun. New clients say that it takes about three classes to learn the moves—but they’re always changing! Teachers will always offer modifications.
